The sky was pretty clear here in Ireland :-)

Noticed that my exposure edit wasn't that right while editing on my laptop because my screen was not really calibrated correctly. Did a small edit.

Thought I'd better get up and make an effort to catch this event. Problem was I hadn't shot anything celestial for over a year!
Everything I had figured out about shooting the Moon had exited my brain and been replaced by a hazy, vague murk. :(

I got these just as the moon peeked through the trees.

I think that looks good, I'm in Irving and I went out to see what I could do, but it was so hazy AND cloudy so I just blew it off. :)
It looked like it was going to be more of a frustration to me, so rather than get like that, I went in and went to bed early. heheh

For what I saw, I think that you did really good, and I like both of them, REALLY! :)

Due to a thin cloud cover where I live, I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed to avoid blurring, not to mention loss of detail at the edges. This shot taken early is marginally OK.

It was totally overcast here when the eclipse started. Then a few hours I saw some holes in the clouds, so I tried to blend two exposures together. I can't say that I'm loving the result, but I believe in the theory that "If your image looks crappy, post it small & maybe nobody will notice!"  ; )

We had some light haze near the horizon in Orange County, here is moon rise over the Santa Ana Mountains.
