Vegas has more than 300 clear days per year, so naturally, last night was extremely overcast. When the eclipse was at its max, I couldn't even see it. The rest of the time I was shooting between breaks, or just shooting through thin layers. I'll probably be dead before the next super-blood moon occurs.

I shoulda stayed in Flagstaff one more night, where I was on Friday and Saturday. Clear as a bell:

Here are two of my shots of the Super Bloody Moon Eclipse, and boy do I need more practice shooting the moon (a bit more reach certainly wouldn't hurt).

Tamron 150-600 + 1.4X TC. Most were taken @ 450-500 I think.

Lunar eclipse 9/27/2015 composite SE Michigan:

This is my 1st composite of the night, taken on fixed tripod, these are 2 minutes apart, 10:44pm - 11:06pm.
Canon 70D, 70-200mm L @ f2.8, ISO 3200, 1/15 sec each.
The faint "dots" are stars that showed up in the capture.
Hartland, Michigan, USA.

This is my 2nd composite of the night, taken on fixed tripod, these are 2 minutes apart, 11:10pm - 11:34pm.
Image is taken as leaving totality, so you can see the transition.
Canon 70D, 70-200mm L @ f2.8, ISO 800, 1/8 sec each.

Very nice! I like them both :)

Actually if you look at the 'stars' there really are not as many as what appears, as the pattern stays with the movement of the moon.
Same stars being photographed over and over.

It is a really cool shot though!

I also spent the night outdoors to take a shot at the moon, here is a pretty big lunarphase composition from the whole night.
