A bit blurry, but I love the flare of the moon because it was so bright.

Here's my 'super moon' photo. Had to let the hazy clouds dissipate before really taking any photos.

Taken with 70-200mm lens.

I never seem to get as sharp.

OK, here's tonight's moon. Today I received my 2x teleconverter for my lens, so this image was shot using a focal length of 800mm. The image details are as follows: 800mm lens (400 + 2x), 1/100 sec, f/16, ISO 200. Processed in CS5 to enhance contrast and sharpen. Click on image to see full-size image (1,934 x 2,900 pixels). I used live view AF to focus. Please feel free to comment.

one of the times I wish I have a crop camera instead. or an extender. or a 400mm. or 300mm. ahhh.

Just like this... Shot it earlier in the week with a 100-400mm handheld. It is cropped a little....

Just like the last two times I wasn't expecting to have a plane jump in front of my moon shots, they just seem to happen that way! First time I thought it was one in a million, now I guess I am just crazy lucky!!!

Didn't get the 300 f/4L in the mail yesterday/today that I was looking forward to using for tonight but USPS failed me. Luckily, I had a nifty-two-fifty handy and managed to get these on my wife's Xsi.

very nice, I wonder how you managed to get the focus right without liveview? I can't seem to get decent moonshots with my 5D+ 70-200 with 1.4x TC sadly. I tried AF, MF without much luck. I used to get better results with my all in one zoom on my rebel

Had a bit of trouble actually. I normally use reading glasses, but don't for most camera use. I have the viewfinder diopter adjusted but still couldn't be sure so got it as best I could then moved the focus ring a few smidges either way & took a few more shots.
