I got this one last night. I like how there is a sot of halo around it which was due to it being really cloudy in our area.
And this photo cost me some skin from my left thigh high up and my left knee.
I had my tripod in the shed and had to get it and tripped over.
I saved my camera and tripod but done that damage.
My thoughts are it was worth it.

I am willing to learn and will listen to what other have to say.
But if I don't like it, never take offense to it.
It is just something that I may not like.

I got up early this morning, but too close to dawn for any attempts at any stars. The moon was too bright for stars, anyway, so I thought I'd see what I could do with another shot of the moon. This is what it looked like - right side up! Both images have been cropped, the bottom one was enlarged a bit, too.

I saw the yellow moon coming up over the hill to the east of me tonight, and thought the color made it more interesting. It was about 15 degrees above the horizon when I took this.

This is a 100% crop of another picture taken during the same session as the previous image. Taken with a Nikon D5200, a Tamron 150-600mm lens at 600mm, and a Kenko 1.4 tele-extender to give a focal length of 850mm. Exposure information: 1/30 Second - f:22 - ISO 2000.

Are you using stacking with any air-turbulence correcting software (like free Registax)? If not that's the likely explanation why you can't get sharper images. At these focal lengths, air turbulence is very obvious, and if not taken care of will result in substantial sharpness loss.
