Very nice! Too bad you couldn't call up and ask them to climb :)

It seems it was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner btw

Thank you - yep it was a Aero Mexico flight, I was following it with the cam and kept hoping it would transit the moon.

Finally got it right I think - Nikon D7500, Nikon 300 F4 PF, Nikon 1.4 X mk3 TC

Took a stab at the cloudy weather and seeing last night, for the occultation of Aldebaran, around 11pm, from Florida.

While waiting, did some detail panels at high magnification of some features.

Used a Celestron C6 telescope (1500mm F10)

Hrm, they're just thumbnail links to Astrobin instead of Flickr for those interested in more of the technical stuff. Dunno why this forum doesn't do the thumbnails right. They appeared correct when I posted, but they "break" later it seems. Other forums handle this just fine. Something weird with the platform here. Oh well. Not missing anything, they're just links to the same images on Astrobin instead of Flickr.

Very best,

No problem, but wanted to make sure you knew what was happening... otherwise you probably would not have seen it.
