First clear night to try my 200-600 lens + 2x extender. Not the best phase for crater detail but hopefully, I'll get a chance to shoot under a bit more favorable conditions soon.

Had a very enjoyable Lunar observing session last night (9th) with my little 4" Skymax Maksutov telescope. I grabbed a few stacks of images at the end with the Nikon for the archive :)

Thanks Michiel, I love colour Lunar images, they tell you a lot about the geology. Plus they're pretty ;-)a

Your shots of the Moon are improving. I see a marked difference. :-)

Thank you Ballen! Coming from you that means a LOT to me!

I have been learning how to sharpen my photos in Photoshop Elements 2020.

I would like to get a newer lens from my Sigma 150-500 as I have been hearing the 150-600 is a lot better.

Not sure how soon I can do that.....

Thank you, it’s all in the gear. The 102 is a cracking little telescope that punches above its weight for resolving power and sharpness.

Quick shot last night testing out my new lens just a basic no frills hand held shot - lens might need calibrating to body - will do when I get some clear weather.

Here is a shot I took 12/13/2019 before 1AM with my Canon 90D, my Sigma 150-500 at 500 with my Kenko 3X
ISO 1250 1/500s f/6.3

What are your thoughts? I did do a Levels and Sharpening with Elements 2020

Thank you for looking!
