Thank you for the correction! Like I said, I am a rank amateur. I did look up a reference but obviously got East and West wrong!

No worries, things would be a lot simpler if the Earth did not rotate beneath our feet...:-)

And then there are those pesky Northern Hemisphere folks, who always seem to post their images upside down...;-)a

Cheers

Dennis

 That's only because Europeans were the ones to start this map thing. Of course they grabbed the top slot.

Moonrise at Valley of Fire State Park in between one of the many natural arches in the park. Sadly, this arch has since collapsed due to people illegally climbing it.

I like the picture but not the reason for the arch collapsing.

I took these in May 2020 when I had a Meade LX90 8" and ZWO ASI224 camera. I just wanted to post them here. I kind of want to get back into moon and planetary photography honestly. We'll see, maybe I'll take the plunge again.

I used my 130mm Zhumell dobsonian with a 10mm eyepiece and my Canon RP attached, just playing around, a little while ago. I'm not sure what the focal length is, but I was amazed I could get this close with that set up. Not the sharpest, or the most detailed picture I have taken. Thanks for looking :)
