Wow, that's a very beautiful moonshot Pagman. Love the tone, clarity and detail you've captured in this image.

It is no wonder! He snapped the moon from his chopper at high altitude - I know it for sure, because all night heavy choppers were flying over my place!:-D

Excellent clarity!!!

Thanks!

If I live in an area close to but not devastated by Hurricane Ian I'd be taking photos of the moon this week.

Air quality would be ideal for moon photography

Glad to hear you were not affected physically by Ian like so many millions of people were affected so badly this last week.

Vs Hurricane Ian (external link)

- Formed September 23, 2022
- Dissipated October 2, 2022
- (Extratropical after September 30, 2022)
- Highest winds 1-minute sustained: 155 mph (250 km/h)
- Lowest pressure 936 mbar (hPa); 27.64 inHg

Our Super typhoon slammed into the Sierra Madre (external link), the longest mountain range in the Philippines. Spanning over 540 kilometers (340 mi) with an elevation of 1,915 m (6,283 ft). That zapped the stregth of the super typhoon.

Florida's just basically flatland peninsula for the whole State. So it was at full power the whole way from SW Florida to up NE Florida.

I used to live in Naples, FL. So I understand how "flat" Naples is. I felt sad seeing Naples Pier shredded apart.
