Is there a zoom lens that is under $700 that produces similar or better bokeh than the Sigma 30mm prime? Also harp and better IQ....?

Of course, a 2.8 zoom at those focal lengths won't give anywhere near as much blur as 30mm at 1.4... Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

Do keep in mind that you are going to have a hard time acheiving the same AMOUNT of blur and seperation with an f2.8 zoom vs an f1.4 prime. You will have to be more careful about BG selection and use the lense towards the longer end when BG blur is important. Taylor
