Post your favorite sports photo of 2009

This is my favourite from the year. Simply because of the look of shear agony and exhaustion on the rider's face as he crests the top of a climb.

It's from the Tour Down Under in South Australia last January.

just one is tough. I can narrow it down to three atleast.

The bike racing photos remind of an annual Memorial Weekend stage race that was moved from in town to right through our neighborhood, park, and cemetery this year to accommodate the police. Learned a lot about panning etc from this event, so it was an overall good experience even if the photos don't measure up to, they will come May when they're here again. Any time I can learn a lot from shooting an event or game I'll always consider that a plus, and it was a favorite at the time actually.

Tried to show just how steep this incline is but was hard without getting in the way. It's hell to walk up let alone ride over and over for those of us who don't exactly ride for more than a little exercise

Hard to pick from all those photos, but I would pick this one:

I picked up an Xs because I wanted to shoot my son playing some football. This was his second year playing and was able to work his way into getting some playing time each game and even started a few. My favorite pic from 2009 is not the best football pic I took, but was representative of all the hard work put in during the season and in the off season.

My son (#62) started the game against McClatchy High and played both DE & O line. In this picture he was one of 3 players to flush the QB out of the pocket. The player on the ground is the teams middle LB. He led the pursuit and had the QB by the waist but couldn't bring him down. As the LB lost his grip my son decleated the QB out of bounds. It was a great play and I was excited to get the pic because I usually found myself watching the play and cheering.

It may be biased but my favorite is my daughter. I've got a 20 x 30 print at my office. You can count the stitches on the uniform.

Almost impossible to choose,but i was happy with this as the light that day was difficult.Just a penalty kick,but being half in shadow,made it a bit different.

This is my favorite. I have a crap ton of pics from football, soccer, lacrosse, tae kwon do and marathons, but this is my fave. This is our daughter. I like the look of concentration on her face.
