I like shooting youth football. They let me on the field here at home and I get some really great shots ;)

I love how you can see the sweat (or rain perhaps) coming off of #8's helmet. It must have been one heck of a collision.

I also like how crisp the photo is. Great timing on this one, it is a great pic.

During the game? ;)

I like shooting the youth sports too. But for football I'm behind a rope, 10 to 12 feet from the sideline, behind the coaches, kids on the sideline, refs and team moms to get my shots, so when I get a good one after fighting all that, I'm happy! The best time is when the kids get down toward the goal line. Coaches and kids on the sideline aren't allowed past the 20 yard markers. Now I just have the refs and other parents to battle.

I know what you mean. I have only shot high school football, but at the home games they are very strict about getting on the field. shooting from the stands or behind the fence, which was about 20' from the sideline sucked. I ended up signing up with a local website, Varsitypix.com, to become an official team photographer. Access to the field was granted and it is definately the best place to be for pics. It is also awesome to hear the coaches yelling and everything else that happens on the sidelines.

I've got a few more years before my son plays football and basketball in HS, so maybe by then I'll have it figured out and get to know the coaches and AD at Cherokee Trails! Right now I'm enjoying the access that I do have at my kids games. My daughter plays soccer and I can wander anywhere I please on those fields.

I won four tickets to the Detroit Pistons with this pic and would agree - it is one of my favorite of '09.

Yea, they let me on during the game. I just stay back far enough to not interrupt the play.

This is one of my favorites from last year, taken during a night practice at training camp. The kid had a great pre-season, I thought for sure that running back would make the team...he did, Carolina's team:-(

Thanks!

It was one of the few times I got to point the camera at one of my teammates.

A little luck on the timing, and it was a great shot!

Although, it was unfortunate to see my team mate get shot :p

While it isnt as good as most of those here, I like this shot because it's of my son , and it's taken with a point and shoot.
