I'd love to know how to get all that great detail Marco. I tried for over 2 hours and could never get even close to that. I have all the software you mention except Qtpfsgui. I don't know what that is. Is sthat where you get that great detail from?
I really preferred MarcoJ70, except for the slight loss of detail in the white wings. Just my opinion though

Yes, I get the details in Qtpfsgui. Just google it. The command line version is freeware, but you can use the gui version for free as long as you prepare the .hdr files elsewhere. Use the Mantiuk filter there for tone mapping. As mentioned, I use Photomatix Pro 3 (the free version) to make the .hdr files: in Photomatix Pro 3 you can make the .hdr for free, but not the tonemapping. The 2 programs complete each other, and combined give you a complete HDR workflow at cost 0!
