365 Project

Thanks David. This project had it's ups and downs, but I am glad I pushed through and completed the task.

It's 2011 with a check mark in a box, and 2012 with just a empty checkbox next to it.

The photos are actually a mosaic on one 13x19 piece of photo paper I printed out at home. So it's all 365 photos crammed into 13x19.. so that's why they're much smaller than the post-it note.

365 makes you get really good at processing. You'd be surprised what you can pull out of a crap photo with enough LR/PS work.

To answer your question though, I bring my camera with me pretty much everywhere also. If you're considering the project, get a good bag.

Do you ever shoot with a P&S during your 365?
Sometimes it is difficult to carry the DSLR setup, even with a bag due to the location of where I am headed. Some buildings I go into do not allow a camera of any kind. I do not mind leaving my s95 in the car, but I would not want to leave my other setups in the car.

Over the last 2 years I have used my phone two times!

Always try to use the SLR, and only used the phone as I forgot the camera and ran out of time in the day.

Oh, I believe how difficult it is, that's why I've never done one until now. On the other hand, I'm not expecting perfection every day.

First day of my 365, the sun is out (at least for now) and while I should be out wandering around looking for inspiration, I'm feeling like a couch-bound slug. Time to go work up some motivation.

Ooh, Jay, I like that photo. And it gives me some inspiration to add to me "I'm out of ideas" list, which hopefully I won't need to go back to today.

Thanks Meglet! Ideas are not easy to come by, and I don't know the meaning of perfection. What I am going to keep in mind is that I'm doing this for me, and not for others. That way if it's a great photo or a crappy photo, I'll own it and look for C&C and education in the process. The other saving grace in this is that I can use my 60D or my S100 or even (dare i say it) my iPhone.
