And in this case (as opposed to many others), I agree with Rad. If you'd wanted the same perspective on the rear engine, you could have walked down the track a bit & had a more dynamic shot.

Sometimes you are forced to work within the constraints of the locale....in this case, walking down the tracks is not an option, unless you are looking to get arrested. The idea behind this shot was to show 4 locomotives without really showing 4 locomotives. Sometimes an idea works....sometimes it doesn't.

FWIW...I certainly respect your opinion and input Frank...but I don't have to respect the input of someone that makes a habit of posting snide little "critiques" of other people's work, while never having posted more than a casual snapshot or two of their own.

Interesting angle it certainly looks damn cold. Don't know if shots intent or weather but the exhaust heat is barely visible.

It was about 0°F with a brisk wind blowing from left to right....so the exhaust was being blown away about as fast as it was emerging.
