From Castlerigg Stone Circle in the English Lake District. Just finished colour processing of this shot. It's a bit soft (I was without tripod that day) but I still like it :)

I'm hopelessly colour blind so I'd be particularly interested in hearing how I did with the red and green tones. I use raw and try to import everything without using any shortcuts, but I always worry that the grass in my shots looks like the vomit of a child who's been eating luminous jelly beans all day.

I've selectively changed the contrast of the sky and the foreground rocks, but not any of the toning. I know the foreground rocks look strange, but they're genuinely, honestly like that :)

I also sometimes think my colour "updates" make the shot wrong. It would be gfood to see original so we can can see what the green was like before.

My initial thought was that the stones had flash-fill on them?

Did you sharpen the image? That may reduce the softeness.

This is completely unprocessed (brought in from raw with "daylight" setting). No flash; my shadow will demonstrate where the sun was coming from :) Original posted again first for easy comparison purposes.

And the sharpening looked a bit noisy. I should've had a tripod with me, I didn't, and it's as simple as that really. My own stupid fault :)
