Try shooting on a darker background and spot metering for the dress using the camera or get you a light meter.... I'm not the best at lighting and giving instruction on how to correct it, but I can see that the dress is blown. Yeah, I see what you mean about the dress in a couple of these. I used a light meter for these which I think shows in the exposure of the subject, which at least IMO is pretty good. Of course if this was more than just a fun little thing with my little girl then I would need to work alot harder on the overall exposures........Thanks for the follow up.
