I saw this on my local Craigs listings and couldn't find any information on it from Google or Sigma's site.

Anybody have any experience with this lens?

28-70/2.8 or 28-70/2.8-4? There are 2 listed over at Photodo.

You may want to confirm with the seller that this lens is compatible with today's generation of DSLRs or, at the very least, can be "re-chipped" by Sigma.

I couldn't find it listed among the discontinued lenses on Sigma's site, but the 28-70 DG is. I'm guessing that the DG, which is now discontinued, replaced the DF. So this lens is at least 2 generations old.

28-70 f/2.8 EX DF. Once I started Googling with "DF" in their, I found a few forum reviews on it :o .

It appears to have been used without issue on 10D's and 5D's but you never know, it could have AF issues with the newer bodies.
