I'm a noob to the 5dMkII, so I was hoping someone could answer a few questions.

1.) With the 3 "C modes" is there any way to register only certain settings, ie M mode, metering, multicontroller function, etc, but not others, ie ISO/shutter speed/aperture.

I was playing with this briefly, but was caught unaware when my camera auto powered down, and all the settings reverted back.

2.) I thought I saw some one with full screen picture review with the histogram overlayed on top. Was I imagining that?

1, nope. Would be nice though. I don't use the C modes, because, that's exactly what I want, is an automatic save of my changes for each of those modes. I kept getting burned by it reverting back. I'm sure it works great for some, not for me.

2. Hit the info button till you see what you want. Edit: Nope, that's not it. You're right it should be there, but I can't remember how to get to it.

I don't use the C settings much so I'm not sure about your first question, but the histogram over the full screen preview may have been the live histogram.

In Live View, if you press the Info button twice it will display a live histogram. I don't think you can get an overlay on a full screen preview image though.

Thanks all.

I guess I was hoping for something different with the C modes. Someday maybe.

Not really a fan of live view, my current viewing setting is the screen with the small image, the RGB histogram and the brightness histogram. I'm not finding the RGB hist as useful as I thought I would, but I've only had this camera for a couple days now, and almost any LCD view is better than my microscopic 20D LCD.
