Nice work Sam (as usual) but I think the folks on Tobacco Road might call dibs on "greatest" rivalry. :D

Great Stuff. For the uninitiated, did you have a photo pass under the basket? Most shots with the 70-200? I appreciate your response.

Yea I work for the Louisville student newspaper so I had a spot. It was actually a really good one, right in between SI and Getty. They are all with the 70-200 with the exception of the obvious wide angle shot

After watching the Memphis/Tennessee game on ESPN last week.. there's a third argument for best rivalry.

great shots. Being from the area, and knowing the illenss of UK fans, I get the best rivalry thing. Duke/NC though.

Nice work Sam, the colors and WB are spot on. Action is solid as well. That first pic (labeled #2) looks like Thomas Jones tearing through the Bengals line yesterday!!!!

Good shots, but have to agree, maybe second to duke-unc, and i'm a nc state alum, so don't like duke (but my sis went there for graduate school, so some family ties there) and really don't like unc. Great place to see the game, I've had a couple of similar opportunities.

Sweet images Sam!
# 9 is my favorite - freshman Peyton Siva is from my home town Seattle. I shot a couple of his high school games last season and he looks like he is going to mature into a very nice player under Rick Pitino. I also like the perspective in #4; great timing and context in this shot.
Great work man.

Man, even though I shoot Duke all the time, and it is one of the best and well known rivalries in the country, there are a ton of them out there. It would be hard to claim one bigger than another to their fans. USC vs UCLA. Stanford and Berkley. Ohio and Michigan. The Florida teams. The in state Texas teams. BYU vs Utah. This list goes on. Regardless, these are very nice shots and it is always a blast to shoot these games.
