question for international shooting (sort of)

Hi all,

so I have been going over my shots in bangkok and singapore and I realized a silliness of mine....when examining the EXIF, the time stamp is in my home time.....a good 6-7 hour difference from the time of the picture.

so my question is this: when y'all travel to destinations (far or near), do you change the clock settings so as to accurately time stamp the EXIF?

sorry for the silly question, but I actually use the time stamp to remember things and the order of things in my trip.....

If you want the local time, I assume you are interested in understanding where the sun was at the time for comparison. This implies that you also know approximately where you are. If both of those things are important to you, then local time would be important, but consider using UTC (Zulu, GMT, whatever you want to call it). It is universal, and when correlated to your position, you will know the sun location, etc. If these factors are not important, then your home time zone seems OK . . . less work, and not relevant to you.
