This is a statue outside the Muse d'Orsay in Paris. It has obviously been PP'd, let me know what you guys think.

leaves me wanting more. Were there people or other distractions that made you cut of the horses legs?

Yes there were cars going by and a satellite dish that I couldn't clone out. What would improve this photo without the legs?

It's a full stop underexposed. Probably more.

Why did you process it so dark? Is it on purpose or is your monitor wrongly calibrated?

The details are here:

Many of the members don't seem to like a real contrasty (dark) photo. But I do, AND I personally like the background darker,( your post) If anything... I would say that I would like the horse's face just a tiny bit brighter....

There is a difference between contrasty and underexposed.

To be honest when I played with the blend modes in PS I felt it lost something when when brighter so I made it darker. The shot was taken at the correct exposure, its the blend modes (overlays and soft lights) that make it darker.

I understand the purpose but I personally would like it better if it was a wee less dark; but I imagine 50 persons will give you 50 different advices...

I think I like the "dreary" look of the original.
