Yes. Windows or OSX? Raw files from what camera?

If you've bought a Canon Camera that can save RAW files it came with a software disk and one of the programs on the disk is called Digital Photo Professional, which opens & manipulates your RAW files, converts them into jpg's or tif's etc.

+1 on look for DPP on CD's with camera.
Other than that, you could try Picasa, or RawTherapee:

thanks I'll try that. I've sent the .RAW from my S2 IS to a friend that has photoshop, and he was able to open them. so the CHDK firmware does work incase anyone was leary of that.

thanks :)

Take a look at ufraw. There should be downloads available for windows.

Be sure to scroll down to the windows section.

Best regards,

Yup, FSViewer, or Fast Stone Image Viewer ( www.Faststone.org (external link) ) Opens, minor edits, crops, views, zooms, exports ( TIFF, JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF, JP2 ), allows opening with another program. etc...etc...

I use this as my main viewer for files on the card, I do my culling there then use LIghtroom. Overall an excellent viewer with enough juice for some quick and dirty exporting.
