So I have a few things I collect, not just Canon camera gear...
One of them is Mic Flags. You know, the emblem of the Network that is in a shape of a cube or triangle and is wrapped around a stick mic as it is shoved into a players face. Over the years I have "collected" (some people call it theft, but that's an ugly word) a few of them and I'm always on the look out for more. My rule is that I have to have used it on a job. For all the ones I have collected I have either put on my own mics or placed on a podeum mic. Then they just happen to not get returned in various ways. My latest is the MLB Network flag. Mmmmmmm, purdy isn't it?
But really, I have tried to return all of these flags. Either they are old and not used by the particular network anymore or I could never get anyone to respond to my request for return info. They cost about $5 each for the network to buy and I just don't think many of the producers I've worked with over the years really care.
I thought they'd make a fun photo.
