Hi all, I don't often come in this section, as I've never got much worth showing on birds, but I was pleased with this one I got today of a redwing. It's a member of the thrush family and visits UK only in the winter, so the thick frost is very appropriate. This is a bit of a crop from a shot at 400mm with the 100-400L, and I'm very impressed with the detail it has picked up. C&C appreciated.

Very nice shot Mark. I have been chasing these birds all over Kent for the last few weeks.

Nice shot Mark, where did you see this then, on your Meon Valley excursion?

Yes, it was in a field at Meonstoke, by the river.
