I was curious what do you guys do when shooting subjects that are low in contrast relative to its background? For example food on a white plate which is placed on white table cloth. It just seems rather easy to get the plate lost in the background.

I have never done anything like that, but I would guess it would come down to creative lighting. Casting the shadows just right to give some depth and separation from the white table cloth. That would be my thought. Kevin
