Matt Photog Peters wrote in post #9491129 (external link)
=Matt 'Photog' Peters;9491129]If there was I didn't see it, was too busy eating Pizza Hut! Yummy .. :D

Well the Halfrauds & DHL fiasco continues .. DHL say Halfrauds need to make a claim so we get a refund, but they won't refund us because DHL say it was signed for @ 14:18pm when the driver didn't knock until gone 7pm ..

I have a copy of the signature which is actually mine and I thought I signed for the refusal of delivery, but now I have thought about it I am wondering if the driver cancelled the return request and I was actually tricked into singing for the delivery, which means the driver has then stolen the item!!

Does anyone know if you have to sign for a refused item with DHL, I can't seem to find any info on line at all ..:(

Matt

What you describe it b****y awefull but can you clarify something ~ they have your sig time stamped @ 14.18pm but you say the driver arrived @ 7pm Now I thought they used electronic pads for sigs so something is very fishy IMO and implies some complicity at the depot??? As for whether one signs for a refusal I have no idea but surely they have a stated policy for that action by the recipient and IMO should include a copy doc to "you" as 'proof' that delivery was declined.

So, subject to the fine details and you may have to take legal advice I wonder if your next step is to report it to the Police. Though I seriously think there is a possibility of this becoming a pandora's box of trouble and stress though in your shoes I would at least take it to the level of making an official report at all appropriate levels. I surmise Adrian can throw some light on the likelihood of such a single "misappropriation" i.e. the individual concerned may be already under suspicion???

But tread carefully, do not get mad get even as the saying goes ;) It can be beneficial to write down a timeline of events for clarity rather than rely on memory everytime you might be asked about it.

Best of luck in getting it sorted :)

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Well it's seems after alot of digging and phone calls, the buggy I signed for is the cancelled one that was still sent out .. So the one I refused un to my knowledge was the correct buggy and is sitting in a local depot, when Halfrauds call me tomoz I am going to give them hell over this mess, we were told twice it had been cancelled by them for it to then turn up, had halfrauds not blatently lied to us on several ocassions I would not have incurred this stress along with a 2week old baby and stroppy 3year old who is not well ..

I know it is part my fault for not checking properly, but when you are told something by a large company such as halfords you would expect it not to all be based on lies ..

My lap time survives another onslaught from Mitesh.

YES!

You sure? Saying that, im very surprised as myself for shaving so much time off. I still cant get the knack of switching the ABS off. I need to practice that when im not focusing as hard. You threw down a big challenge. I have to admit, it was not as easy to beat that time you posted.

@ Matt ~ glad you are getting it sorted & making some sense of it. You certainly do not need the added stress at this time.

Each set of laptimes are by car class.

Range goes
R1 <---highest/stronger/more powerful cars/le mans etc
R2
R3
S
A
B
C
D
E
F <---lowest/weaker/less powerful cars/old bangers etc

Within each car class, there is a set limit on your performance index (P.I). If your mods exceed a certain P.I, then it moves up a class. This includes mods such as weight, gearbox, engine or even drive train aspects.

So what we have set is a class is picked but within that, we are entitled to our own parts (therefore our P.I. will vary), our own tune and our own assists. That way, when we race, its always going to be pretty even in terms of car performance. :)

When I look at it, Gran Turismo has GOT to be something else to make me want to buy it and a PS3. Especially at how hard it was for everyone to get together. :o

Wow - thought I'd logged in to the wrong forum for a moment there :)

Last day of the week for me and a chance of some sun at the weekend. If I don't get out and shoot something soon I'm going to explode :(

For anyone interested, this link has a list of photo competitions all over the place. I reckon Chris is a shoe in for the first one :p:)
