Personally I use GP 2700mAh batteries. The eneloops are ok but I don't tend to leave my rechargables sitting that long without use for them to be worth it for me. I'd rather have higher capacity. Need to find a bulk lot on Energizer lithiums really, those batteries are awesome. Can't wait to try some NiZn rechargables.

=Matt 'Photog' Peters;9495984]I could be tempted, I'll see how I get on with the two to start with!

Need some decent rechargable batteries and maybe a good charger too, where is good to buy from?

3 flashes is ideal! I love what I've been able to add to photos just by adding the 3rd flash I picked up at xmas.

I've got an old Kyosoho Mini-Z (Merc DTM). It still works fairly well, but the batteries tend to jump out if you bash it against the skirting board too quickly.

These (external link) are the ones I use and they seem ok. I have read about (external link) the NiZn ones and they seem interesting as well.

Haven't played with the eneloops at all, their thing was they hold their charges for a long time right?

Yeah, they retain charge like normal batteries. I find that to be a great feature as sometimes i will not use my flashes for a month at a time and to be able to just pick them up and go rather than having to charge/top up the batteries before i go is great. Sometimes for me, even the smallest obstacle can eliminate any creative energy i have.

I seem to get better recycle times out of the eneloops than those energizers too.
