need the money?

Nah - i just have that focal length covered. I have the 24-105 and the 100-400 so if i was sensible i would sell the 70-200, but i cant. its my favorite lens for image quality.

You will love it.

The only negative i can think of for the lens is that it doesn't use the 77mm filter size common to almost all of the other L lenses. Its a 67mm filter size - but hey at least they are cheaper!

The lens hood is very deep, i doubt you would need one. I have only ever put UV filters on the 70-200 when going to the beach and when flying debris is very likely (re-enactment shots and enduros).
I was more concerned about the filter size for circular polarizers and ND filters as they are quite dear.

Got the same three lenses and the same problem :( I'd rather sell one of the kids :)

Sorry, off topic and not my photo but my mom just sent this to me and I thought I should offer it up for use in Robs defence that "Seals really do just want to have their photo taken".

Anything to help :)

Love that seal shot - saw it on twitter in december, made me crack up!

Just need a quick opinion on this shot. Ignoring the massive blown highlight in the middle, what do you guys think on the colours? Does the lens flare work in this?
