I very much doubt Urban Explorers are responsible for any criminal damage, they're photographers and explorers not vandals.

Interesting article and comments all the same.

This is said photograph.............that they were all up in arms about

Chris thanks for the 11th hour reminder but when I posted a couple of days ago Adrian said he had drop out, Kay is conserving her petrol, Rich is shooting the footie etc so sadly it looks like it will only be me going :( ??? Oh, I had a PM from member username Tesh about coming but he has yet to confirm???

Loooong weekend coming for me ~ family lunch tomorrow 2.5 hours drive away in Somerset and the the Butterflies @ Wisley on Sunday. Do I feel ready to be kna****ed for Monday ~ do I heck

Ah thats a shame.

Drop Redoubt isn't the only place the tunnels go, they extend for miles. Heard people rumour that they may meet up with the tunnels under Deal. FWIW I know a friend who got in a few of the tunnels from the cliff top between Dover and St Margarets a few years back now, had a supply of photos and maps of the area. The council tend to drop concrete caps on the entrances though when they find how people get in.

We're watching it as well - they're completely bonkers. And the most irritating people I've ever seen.

It's definitely up there near "I've always wanted to visit Dover." I on the other hand always want to leave Dover.

Haha!! I remember talking Chris out of going to Dover last year!! :D

Dover Castle looked nice... From the outside...

Haha!! I can't believe they wanted us to buy tickets just to go to the cafe!

Anke wrote in post #9498558 (external link)
I'll stick to the castle then :) Ever done the war tunnels?

Yes, years ago. Friends of mine went on a ghost trip one Halloween through the tunnels and one of them swears he saw "supernatural activity"!!
