=Matt 'Photog' Peters;9502830]The bright orange/white blob is mars .. I think I moved slightly when taking it so its not a perfect round object, I couldn't be a**ed to get the tripod out! Lol ..

I did crop the moon more, but then when I PP'd it the edges went horrible!

Oh dear - does that blob really look orange/white on your screen? Looks pure white on mine (uncalibrated) :(

Ok - well there are several things to try next. First one to go for is download Firefox (www.firefox.com (external link)) and install that. See if you have the same problem.

Exactly the same with Firefox.........???

It must be something to do with my router/broadband, if I connect to an unsecured network (neighbours) then all is ok, back on mine and I have problems??

Looks like a problem with your ISP's DNS. I'd call their helpdesk.

If it is a dns problem like Jonathan suggests use that website to change your dns settings - I have used it in the past when I have had similar problems.

I've not read the whole thread but they seem to be talking about false warnings about battery level. I have not heard of (or experienced) Win7 damaging anyone's battery? Quite the opposite in fact - Win7's power management is the best of any previous Microsoft OS and has extended battery life in most of the cases I have seen due to better regulation of bluetooth and wifi adapters.

EDIT: This is based on the current fleet of around 200 (upgraded) laptops we have rolled out so far at work.

There sign up service and install help are vey good. However, I would look at this as a temporary fix and get your ISP to sort out their issues (who are you with btw?). Some ISP's run what are known as internal and external DNS zones so using someone elses external DNS info can sometimes affect access to your ISP's servers (email, web space and the like).

If you need any more help or advice just PM me - this has got to be as dull at ditchwater to the rest :)

I thought so as well.
I'm not normally the sort of person to jump on a bandwagon like this but my personal laptop battery issues are shocking.
20 minutes of use and off it goes into hibernate.
I can power it back on and get another 10 minutes.

Later in that thread this reports are alarming;
Battery:Last Full Charge (%) The battery stored less than 40% of the Designed Capacity the last time the battery was fully charged.
Battery ID Hewlett-Packard Primary Design Capacity 47520 Last Full Charge 14818 Last Full Charge (%) 31

I'm just running the same (powercfg -energy gives you an energy report)
WWhilst I know batteries lose their full capacity ovr time, that is terriblle.
