I think it's more like a swingball stand with a torch taped to a model airplane which is tied to the end of the piece of rope
I haven't quite figured it out either. Wouldn't that method have the airplane flying into the stand?

The family I shot for like this pic, but I stupidly left my flash by his left side and forgot to turn it off!! As you can see it has blown out his left side, they want it printed on canvas and would look pants as it is.. Any tips on how I can save it? Find someone that looks like them and re-shoot?

Maybe duplicate layers and fiddle with levels and masking. Had that flash not fired it would have been fine .. The 16th UK South-East "The Cooper Crawley Creche" Thread (All Welcome)

So... Saturday, I need to help the missus make a Ipod cake in the morning bout could come out from 2 ish until sunset has gone (5ish?) How does that work for anyone else? I know Ian may have to pull out, I was contemplating going to a comon/park somewhere rather than central london to concentrate on some portable lighting techniques, rather than fighting all the public/security. I'm not overly worried about getting any specific shot/scenery but keen to learn/play with kit. I'm happy with doing the Subway, as long as I don't get all my gear wet again! If I get my camera in time, ill head back to London with the car. Can park it in the tunnel for some strobed photos. Everyday, a programmer finds a way of creating an idiotproof program. Mike I know you have already replied. https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=9545171#post9545171 It just disappoints me at how angry he is for someone paying for a service they did not look into properly. Woh! what a thread. But the one post that caught my eye was the one where he posts some examples of his work........now were I looking for a wedding or portrait tog I am sure I could find one or more with far greater image quality & creativity but why did he get one praise post and no "reflective" c&c as per what his images say about his quality & value for money FWIW the B&W was the best of the bunch but every other one IMO was just 'off' in one way or another e.g. composition, static/disengaged subject and just plain boring. That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans

If they are representative of his best work then maybe just maybe he is refering to himself as charging too much for low grade work ~ or perhaps his competition in his locale are, well, possibly......no I cannot write the word(s) ![]() I personally think he was losing out on business to cheaper photography members in his area and had a poor portfolio overall.
