Bless her.

As soon as I scrolled to see this it made me laugh, what a cracker of a picture and something to tease her with when she is in her teens

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

=Matt 'Photog' Peters;9545916]Right need some help .. The family I shot for like this pic, but I stupidly left my flash by his left side and forgot to turn it off!!

As you can see it has blown out his left side, they want it printed on canvas and would look pants as it is.. Any tips on how I can save it?

I think you can get away with the hot patch on the side of his face. I'd burn the BG under his leg and then maybe move the blacks triangle of a levels adjustment in towards the middle to taste where contrast has been lost due to flare on the dad using a mask to kinda gradient it on to him.

But what do I know :P

Edit: oh and the shadow line on his face/jaw will probably need smoothing out I just noticed

Yeah I thought so but I was interested in what they would say. Needless to say, stupidity but atleast I can lie in. :)

I have some red EL wire, would be fun to try something like this (external link).

Also, the light ball photos are starting to get on my nerves. I have no idea how he manages to pull these off (external link).

The only thing I can think of would be to swing a light at the end of a string in a vertical fashion over a point on the ground and then slowly walk around that point. Your hand would have to stay over the point and not travel too far in any direction though, and I would think some shadow of it would remain visible.

I'm going to have to experiment with it and see if I can't replicate it somehow.

Minus exposure neutral density filter starting from the upper left in Lightroom? If you shoot RAW (which I'm pretty sure you do), you should still have all the data there and the ND filter in LR is quick and easy to apply.

Or is that too obvious? :o

Are you a bit technical? You could always setup your own proxy on your home machine. Failing that, can you access www.logmein.com? (external link)
