it'll be chepaer if you just let the auction end + assuming no one buys it you can just do a private sale with no ebay sale fees apart from the listing fee obv ??

True, but if rich doesn't bid for it, someone else may snag it for 99p.

Ebay is very very annoying at times.

I put up my snowboard with a £140 "buy it now" option. Buy it now costs extra, but i thought it would be useful. Had quite a few people asking to buy all three bits of kit i had auctioned together and would i do deals for them. I said no and thus sold the boots & bindings at my "buy it now price" with 12 hours of posting the auction.

I then start getting messages from people asking what my "buy it now" price is for the board or would i stop the auction early. "Odd" i think, seeing as the item has a buy it now button....

Then i find out that ebay removes the "buy it now" option as soon as someone has bid on the item. So someone bid £1, now no one can choose to buy it now for £140. Thats f-ing retarded in my mind. Surely the buy it now value should remain until it has been exceeded? Not disappear for such a minute bid!

Of course, i get no refund for the money i spent on that buy it now option and there were no clear instructions to enlighten me to the fact it would disappear on the create auction page.

All i can hope is that there is a last minute flurry of bids from the 12 watchers i have.

/Rant

Thats a bugger. My dad sells a lot of stuff on ebay and he always makes sure that he has a reserve price on it

i didnt know about that buy it now thing either. Stupid

i hate it when people bid on things that im planning to buy long before the auction ends and needlessly increase the price. So annoying. Of course it would be the other way round if i was selling

I'm sure you guys really want my Lowepro Adventure trekker bag! What with all the new kit you are buying.

And the 120-300 f/2.8 is gonna go as well.
