Morning all. Anyone doing anything exciting today?

Got to do a couple of chores, fit new exhaust to my bike and then was thinking of micro adjusting my EFS 17-85. Not been convinced of the focus on it since I have had my 7d. My 70-200 seems pretty spot on and while I wouldn't expect the 17-85 to be as good I am sure there is improvement to be had.

Has anyone here done this before and what method did you use?

Morning Everyone :)

Another one of my friends want some pics taken today, so just wanna make sure ive got everything right:

1. Manual mode - shutter speed not under 1/60 (using 18-55 kit lens)
2. Diffuse the flash (Piece of fabric, bit of paper etc - until i can afford some other bits)
3. focus on the eyes or on the top of the nose
4. keep the subject away from the background as much as poss

Anything else i shud remember?

Looks like not everyone is happy about this:

"The United States lodged a complaint against Williams' helmet, which was supported by five other nations, after Thursdays's two runs. That was dismissed by skeleton's international governing body."

"Canada lodged a second complaint after Williams' winning run, but that too was thrown out."

Technology? It's a hat!

 I think I recall her saying after the 1st challenge that all competitors helmets (other kit???) is examined and then certified with a sticker before the event, so what is the issue 'my helmet has passed the scrutiny......'. But I bet all future winter olympic headgear will have such aerodynamic enhancements.

Was there not similar complaints in the Summer Games about the full body Speedos worn but some of the swimmers having exotic materials in them???

When fractions of seconds separate 1st from 2nd there IMO always be "questions" about 'technology'.....just wait and see what F1 throws up this year to entertain us

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

great news on the gold, I'll turn on the TV for replays in a bit.

Well didn't win the euro lottery last night, fingers crossed for the lotto later!

Lovely day out there! However as I've just got up and its Everton V Utd at 12:45 I don't think I'll make it out. Should edit more of my wedding photos instead me thinks.

Any defos for Traf Sq tomorrow then?

I wouldn't hold your hopes up. I was looking forward to it too, when it arrived it went straight in the bin, not even charity shop. Very poor quality and stank like it was very old.

I'll slap it through the wash and see how it comes out ..
