I have searched, but am coming up w/ nada, zilch, zip. How do you compensate your additional shooters for T&I shoots? I've heard someone say they give them the option of a flat rate or a percentage of the overall sales. Things are starting to fall into place for getting contracts (finally) and I want to have all my ducks in a row.

1. How do you compensate your shooters?
2. If it's a flat rate, how much do you pay or how do you determine the amount.
3. If you give a percentage, what is standard?

I don't want to cheat those I hire, but don't want them to feel underpaid. Fortunately, I will have my wife as a second shooter.

Mods, I put this in the Talk About section because it directly relates to sports. If it's better suited for the Business section, please move.

If this has been covered before, I apologize for the re-post. Please post a link to the threads and I'll have this thread locked. Thanks to all who offer advice.

How many teams are you covering at once?

I avoid having to hire additional shooters like the plague. The only time I ever had to do it I hired a couple of kids from a local high school yearbook that I help a lot and paid them $10 an hour and let them use my gear after I set everything up.

As of now, it will be 21 teams w/ 10-18 players. My wife and I'll be able to handle it with proper schedule, but I would like to have the information readily available if i need it.

Have you considered offering a flat hourly rate?

Generally, most shooters we've hired to work with us, for T&I or action, work at an hourly rate.
I suppose that this ultimately becomes a "flat rate" for the shoot, since you can generally schedule the shoot duration ahead of time ... but setting it up as an hourly rate makes it clear that compensation other shoots can vary depending on need.
