the 50D calls for the BG-E2N battery grip and i have the BG-E2 i think it is on my 20D, now i am sure you know where i am going with this. i did a comparsion and from what i can tell the E2N is weather sealed and the one i have isn't. i also asked the guy at(don't hate me) ritz camera and he thinks the E2 should work on the 50D. and i would just go to my local photography shop but just moved to abilene tx and the closest one i know of is in Dallas about 215 miles away. if i was just guessing i would think it would work but then again i'm a cubs fan and we all know how that turns out every year. so if anyone has had this same thought or has the E2 on the 50D could you let me know. and before it gets brought up, i don't have the 50D yet, but will soon, just need about $200 more(ebay selling is slow right now). so any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Is "weathersealing" what Canon calls the update to the BG-E2N? As previously mentioned, your BG-E2 grip should work fine on the 50D.
