I'm going to be in Indianapolis next month for a convention. I'll have some time on my hands in the evenings, and was wondering if anyone could point me to some interesting areas to shoot at night.

Thanks...

Steve

I don't remember what hotel I stayed in, but when I was a paramedic I went to Indy for the Indiana EMS Expo, and that night noticed a teriffic view of the captiol building from my hotel room... Held the lens right up against the glass of the window, and took a beautiful "post card" shot of the captiol dome. Wish I could find the negs, as this was before I got serious about photography, and back then it was "just a picture."

There is also a number of war memorials - Indianapolis claims to be second only to Washington DC in numbers of war memorials. If memory serves correctly, there's a huge one right on the circle downtown on Meridian.

Here's a scan of the print. Unfortunately, it's not in very good shape, but I no longer have the neg...

This one was taken with Minolta X570 in manual if memory serves, and with the 50mm lens that came with it. Don't remember any of the other details, as I sold that camera somewhere around 10 years ago when I got the Elan with the Tamron 28-80 lens.
