Portraits and Skin Processing - Can you point me in the right direction?

I'm sure this has been asked before, so I'll just cut to the chase. I've been looking to improve my skills editing portraits and especially skin processing. Anybody have some links, videos, or advice they can offer me?

I use CS4. For skin processing, I usually start with the healing brush to get rid of imperfections, apply a surface blur, and add (I don't remember the exact name) mono noise. I'm at work, so I will post an example when I get home.

I've also been looking for some plug-ins for photoshop that might help improve my shots as well. Any recommendations?

CSpringer's Skin Repair Action - used it myself, and compares very well with Portraiture and it's free!
