I am not religious but I found the serpent and the fruit slightly ironic..

I am a beginner at photography and only have a Panasonic lumix and no professional equipment or experience so any and all CC always welcome. Best way to learn! Thank you :)

First photo I need to brighten the snake and tone down the apple I think. I didn't like the outcome but he is my favourite snake 'Blizz' so I had to include him too!

Ha, that is the same camera that I owned before I bought my gear a couple of years ago. Composition is number 1 for a good photo. I like the pictures you have posted keep it up. I like the exposure you got on the first picture. The shadows on the snake really show definition and shape...very important not too overexpose a light object. What did you use for a light source? You could get a diffuser to put in front of your light to lessen the glare.
