With our Henry being a West Yorkshire lad, I'm risking a lynching by suggesting his work be cropped. It just seems to draw attention from that magnificent architecture above. Similarly no1 would benefit from a cropping of the light top r/h corner. Both great shots and kudos for the hand holding.

NO. 1 would look a lot better if shot during sunset when there is some light left i think. and number 2 the bottem left of that sculpture thingy looks blown out and it does dristract you from the already nice buildings. they are still nice though!

I would have had to stay off the booze for weeks to shoot like this hand held... :) Congratulations.

I agree with previous posts that the bottom one is a bit blown out on the sculpture. But nevertheless a great shot. I wonder if a little change in "tilt" (and I do not mean "straightening") would give it more impact.

I do not agree with the suggstion to crop the top one. That "gap" in the building makes it more interesting. It looks b/w but isn't and that gives it an extra dimension!

Thanks for all your comments, all good points. Yes I am using an IS lens 24 to 105 that came with the 5D.

Happy Birthday to Elvis- the show was dark night last night but will resume today with some events at the bar to celebrate the King's 75th birthday.
