Until this latest batch of snow, I haven't seen any Redwings at all this winter, and suddenly yesterday and today they're around. I seem to have five or six regularly coming to the tree in the garden behind us. Despite much snow, the sun has been kind today so an ideal opportunity. These were all taken through the upstairs window as I was wary of scaring them off. I just love these guys.

A very nice set SatMac.
I'd love to see one in my garden.

Superb!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god, I see now what you meant yesterday about my garden - how strange is that.

I have had around 2 dozen today, if not more scattered around the surrounding gardens. I didnt go out either to photograph them as I didnt want to scare them off. I have to make the most of them as I am going back to work on Monday (unfortunately I can walk in when it snows lol).

I will look out for more of your Redwing shots - its a real treat for us to be seeing them isnt it :D

Linda

PS well its quarter past 4 and I have 15 Redwing in my tree!

Many thanks Vulcan and Linda. Yes, Linda, our shots were very similar weren't they? Freaky...

How strange that not long after posting my comment, I went just down the road & there were several of them in peoples front gardens picking off berries!
Until then I'd never seen one.
