My Date with a Bee

Today as I was walking I came across a bee who was just sitting on the sidewalk. At first I thought he was dead, but then I noticed that he was just chillin' out. I got down on my belly and started to take pictures of him. I didn't have him sign a model release but it was as if he was posing for me, turning, sitting, etc... Then I went and got a leaf and put it in front of him and he hopped on it and just stayed there as I took more shots. Our date lasted for 15 minutes. Then when I was done he just flew away. It was an amazing experience, to say the least. Well I took over 100 shots and here is one of the best. I hope you enjoy it. C&C welcomed. I sure wish I had a better macro lens. This would've been an even greater experience!

Mimicing bees is their protction against predators. Other species mimic wasp. They're extremely good at it. Have had me fooled many times
