Currently i have whats listed in the title and the nifty fifty. In the future ill be having a tokina 11-16, and a flash (either the 430 or 580). Currently i have the 5MDH and i love it. Problem for me is that i cant house the 7D with the 24-70 and hood attached. Its become a pain for me because i have to house it with hood reverse. I really want the hood on there all the time in shoot ready position. Ive looked around and nothing has jumped out at me. What thoughts do you guys have on a quick acces backpack with those items ill be looking to put in there? Thanks for all your input as always!

This should work. It says it'll hold a pro dSLR with a 70-200 attached. That's about right for a 24-70 + hood.

Or since you already like Crumpler... how about trading up to the 7MDH. There's a review on http://www.cambags.com/ (external link) where a someone has a 20D with 70-200 attached in the center compartment and it looks like it fits.

Edit: I just put my 24-70+hood next to my 70-200 2.8L IS and the 70-200 is about 3/4" or so longer than the 24-70+hood, so you should be fine with anything that'll hold a body+70-200 with a little room to spare.

The Tamrac Aero 85 would work well too. I have the 80 for when I want to travel light and I like it a lot. Plus it holds a notebook PC, and has a top compartment for a jacket, snacks, books, or whatever you want to take along with you.

The Slingshot 350 is a monster bag. If the OP is willing to have the hood reversed, the Slingshot 200 is much smaller and should hold all his gear. I have similar gear and that's what I use when I need a backpack.

Besides, switching the hood from reversed to front mounted position only takes about 2-3 seconds with a little practice.
