It has been a few years since I last saw cedar waxwings as they pass through here during their migration south. They seem to only spend one or two days before moving on and I was lucky enough to be outdoors with my camera when I spotted a small group at the top of an oak tree. I did not manage to get a shot free of either branches or late afternoon shadows. I figure that any picture is better than none. The last image is a yellow rumped warbler that apparently decided to join up with the cedar waxwings.
These are ISO 800 images with my 7D and 400/5.6 lens. (Shutter speed 1/3200 sec and f/8 aperture).
