Circular reverse-stacked lens images

I love the process for these. I use a 70-200 f/2.8L at 73mm, mounted normally on the camera, with a 35mm f/1.4L handheld backwards against the telephoto. Its a risk working with $2000 worth of combined glass reversing them and whatnot, but it gives me just a little more quality, and since the backwards macro technique is crude at best, I need all the help I can get. Subject is bismuth crystals, lighting from a 430 ex mini softboxed and placed next to subject.

Nice abstracts but I have a question,in your thread title you speak of "circular" and I'm not following that,care to explain.

Stacking the lenses produces a circular image as opposed to one that fills the rectangle of the sensor. Think of how a fisheye looks with all the black surrounding a circular image.

HMMMMMMMM I had that occur with a 28-135 and a 50 and thought that was unacceptable because it came out circular and not full sensor,,,LOL,shows you how much I know.:oops:

Its only unacceptable if you deem it so. I was going for the look of the circle.
