Despite the recent weather here in the UK, Lancashire was one of only 3 counties who decided to hold the scheduled county cross country championships this weekend. The races are in age groups from Under 11 to Veteran, these are the Under 13s , as I still sorting out the rest on my images.

Pendle AC leads bunch of athletes taking in part in the under 13 boys event at the 2010 Lancashire County Cross Country Championship at a snow covered Witton Park, Blackburn

That looks like a broken ankle waiting to happen. Nice captures. The snow sure makes for a unique look for CC photos.

Thanks Guys, much appreciated.

Most of the course was OK under foot, apart from one section which is normally very muddy, this weekend it was rock hard and very uneven. It looks cold and the Temp gauge in my car said -5C when I arrived, but there was plenty of sun and no wind so felt a lot warmer

Fantastic images there. Only suggestion would be to crop #1 a bit tighter. You could go tight on the lead runners or just remove some of the dead space on the left (just not so much dead space that they are completely running out of the frame.

I love #1, awesome! Tighter crop maybe? Is that flag showing 16km? :D Thanks for sharing.

Thanks again everyone, nice to see people looking and commenting on my images.

I'll look at a tighter crop, and I don't think it's a 16 km flag, more likely to be marker number 16 on the route map.
