I need help deciding if I should sell my canon 50mm f/1.8 and buy a used canon 50mm f/1.4. The 1.4 lens is in excellent condition and she's only asking for $200 USD. Should I go for it? Is it much better than the 1.8 version? I really like the idea of the extra aperture, but I've read it isn't that sharp wide open...
Thanks for you help :)

Yes get it...$200 is a steal if it's in good condition! That's like half off retail. I'll take it if you don't want it ;)

For $200 I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I would buy it as well and you don't like it sell it and you will make a profit. $200 is a very good deal.

Wow... ridiculous price. I'd buy it before I even knew I bought it.

I had the chance to buy one in mint condition for $150 and didn't take it, I regret that decision every day. :(

Verify that the auto focus works! This lens is notorious for failed AF motors.

Otherwise, great price...buy it. :)
