I took all four kids sledding this afternoon. I caught a short burst of my oldest launching herself down the hill.

These are with the 1D3 and the 70-200/2.8L

I was (as I recall) at about ISO 400, 1/1000 and f/4.0. I stopped down a bit (f/4 to f/5.6) for a little DOF as some shots included 2-3 people. I used the 1/1000 and ISO400 range to stop motion.

I was actually dancing around a bit for ISO and SS (you can check exif) because there were patchy clouds today. I did not use Av or Tv mode as I do not find them to be consistent in snow. Even with the patchy clouds I was able to watch my incident meter and the histogram and keep the exposures pretty close.
