More than that--we've got the 75-300, pre-IS, which is, by all accounts, mediocre even when compared to the 70-300. I've managed to coax good shot out of it, but it takes work. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the L will do.

It is a beautiful lens for sure. I have a special love for each of my L lenses -they each have a special place in my heart.
