Very nice!
I love that spot. Was there last October and it was a little bigger than that. Kauai is a beautiful Island and Poipu area is one of the best spots.

One thing I noticed about Kauai ... there isn't any litter anywhere. Too bad people around the world cant respect their own land as such.

Yep, Very Nice

Wow you used a 135mm lens. Are there a lot good spots where you can shot surf with shorter lens? Like with a 70-200 or 100-400?

Design,
Nice tight surf shot where you can see the wave and the surfer, seems like lately everyone wants to post surf shots from a mile away with now detail and most are soft. This is good to see.
Thanks for sharing.

Big K and Michael15 thank you for the comments.

MarkII I noticed the same thing and there is no trash and no cigarette butts anywhere on the island. It is truly amazing and shows totally respect for their environment. I love it and will be going back.

Jeff there are many spots around Kauai and Maui that 135 to 200mm is long enough to get good surf shots. I have found the waves seem to break a lot closer to shore in Hawaii than some other areas. It is different in certain areas when you get into the really big waves. The 135 L worked well on several popular surf breaks and is one heck of a lens with very quick AF and sharp.

J.Napier thanks I agree that many have been posting shots from farther away and this was one reason I wanted to get some closer more detailed shots.
